R172 Preview v3 now

As of R172 (February 2012) you can now switch over to v3 to preview the improved interface and test out the enhanced usability and productivity.

The functionality of the system is the same as v2 but speed and workflows have been improved. During the preview stage we encourage you to try it out and let us know what you think!

Along with this release, the reports interface has also been updated. The reports now have the following menu structure:

Visitors: Overview, Geographic location, Visits and Page views, Unique visitors, Visitor loyalty, Browser and Operating Systems
Traffic Sources: Overview, Referrals, Search Phrase, Search Engine Referrals and Spider
Website Content: Overview, Pages, Entry Pages and Exit Pages
Web Forms Usage: Overview, Inquirer Geographic Location, Inquiries and Top Web Form Usage
e-Commerce: Overview, Shopper geographic location, Sales, Top products and Abandon rate
Email Campaigns: Overview, Campaign, Subscriber Geographic Location, Subscriptions vs Unsubscriptions and Newsletters sent
Custom Reports: Customer Reports, eCommerce Reports and Website Reports
Special Reports: includes the former Custom Reports (custom built report by BC engineers and linked into specific sites, only 31 still active)
Admin Reports: Admin Usage and Total Traffic Reports

Deprecated functionality

The Refer-a-friend form has been removed and it will no longer be available. Existing forms will continue to work. As a replacement, we recommend to use Social Sharing modules which we keep enhancing. If you would like to add social sharing to your site, please open a ticket.

Visitor Details, Visitors by IP address and Spy Lens reports will be deprecated for privacy reasons.

v3 Just Around the Corner

V3 is a major enhancement and a complete rewrite of the existing system that significantly improves usability and enhances productivity.

To ensure that you have time to get familiar with the new interface all existing clients will have the option to preview the new v3 User Interface starting in February 2012. All new clients will be using the v3 interface by default.

Foundation Case Study

This month's system release (R169 - Nov.21, 2011) includes a few enhancements that we think you'll be pretty excited about.

Upgrade Highlights

E-commerce: Special characters are now allowed in products and catalog names. This further enhances your ability to achieve better search engine optimization.
Email Marketing: You will now be able to choose to send a campaign to multiple lists. The system will automatically check for and remove duplicates recipients, so each subscriber only receives the email once. This enhancement gives you greater control over your email marketing efforts.

Bug Fixes

A bunch of little behind-the-scenes bugs have been squashed - we won't go into detail here as you're not likely to come across them, but we wanted you to know that there is lots of work behind the scenes that make Swizzle the best online business solution available.

This month's release (R168 - Oct.18, 2011) includes better SEO, minor enhancements and some bug fixes.

Upgrade Highlights

Blog SEO updates: The sitemap.xml and RSS feeds now have SEO friendly URLs for blog posts, resulting in better SEO.
Knowledgebase improvements: The knowledgebase has a new look to make it easier to find help files.

Bug Fixes

Accessing a folder now works even if there is no "/" at the end of the URL
Catalogues with lots of products in them now render more quickly
If there is a product in a user's shopping cart and they log in as a wholesaler, the product price now adjust correctly

R167 September Release

This month's release (R167 - Sep.27, 2011) includes some great enhancements, including finalized Facebook login integration, and some usability improvements.

Upgrade Highlights

Facebook signup improvements: Pro plans offer Facebook integration, where you can sign up or sign in to a secure zone using Facebook. This month's release now includes key functionality including: automatic redirect to a member zone after log in, request additional information on sign up, and sell membership to a secure zone on sign up.
Improvement of the UI v2 interface: Forms now render with labels aligned to the right followed by the input field for better readability. Some sections are now available via collapsible panels instead of tabs for easier navigation.

R166 August Release

This month's release (R166, Aug.31) introduces a very exciting new feature to help your customer relationship management.

Upgrade Highlights

Extensible CRM database: This improvement will allow you to collect additional information and store it against the corresponding CRM area (contacts, order, opportunity or case) and enable site visitors/members to update this custom information through a form. This is a HUGE enhancement that allows you to collect more customized information for your business.
New payment gateway: The Ogone payment gateway is now supported for the following European countries: Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France.
Improved admin mobile support: The charting library has been updated so now you can now view your reports on a mobile device.
Updated live feed: The live feed links from your dashboard now open the target item (order, case, opportunity) instead of customer details.
Interface improvements: The "scroll-to-top" after saving has been removed. Also, you can now view a list of all customers and not just ones added in the last year from the customer list view.
